Courageous Division Annual Banquet

On Saturday, 30 May 2026 Courageous Division of the Sea Cadet Corps held their annual awards banquet at the Indian River Colony Club. It was a great evening celbrating the superb performance of the Division and recognizing exceptional cadets. CAPT Doug Pratt, USN (Commanding Officer, Naval Ordnance Test Unit) provided a thought provoking and informative address to the cadets that was well received by everyone. The event was sponsored by Kel Tec who continues to be a strong proponent of Courageous Division. After turning 45 years old, Commanding Officer, LTJG Heather Owen recognized those who have given so much of their personal time to make the Division so successful. Cape Canaveral Council President Carl Cramb presented two Teddy Roosevelt medals to two highly deserving cadets. The last event of the evening was saying good bye to Cadet Chief Petty Officer Hayden Williams who graduated high school and will enlisting in the US Navy this summer. Congratulations to all the awardees!
