Mission
Cape Canaveral Council NLUS is a civilian organization founded in 1902 that supports the sea services (Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, U.S.-flagged Merchant Mariners), their members, and their families through direct action and education of the public. Our organization aims to raise awareness, recruit members, share educational resources, accept donations, and share events. We plan to reach our audience through social media, newsletters, and local partnerships. Located in Cape Canaveral, FL, we are committed to making a difference in our community and beyond.
What We Do
The Cape Canaveral Council NLUS' mission is to support our Nation’s sea services (Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and US - flag Merchant Marine) in Mideast Florida.
We do this through:
• local programs and meetings where our Council provides a voice to educate the public and local members of Congress on the importance of our Sea Services to our nation’s defense, well-being and economic prosperity and:
• support to our active Sea services personnel such as the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard and their families and:
• youth programs such as the Naval Sea Cadet Corps and Junior ROTC, that expose young people to the values of our sea services.
